The CVSC sponsored a Senior Trail Ride down the Cannon Valley Trail. Six passenger golf carts rolled on down to Welch where they were met with friendly volunteers from the CVSC serving box lunches from our local Nick’s Diner. The weather was perfect! Our volunteers driving carts and assisting passengers were wonderful! Scott Roepke, manager of the trail, led the way with his pickup, stopping to give interesting talks about the trail, its plants and history, and warning our cart drivers to pull over for passing bicyclists.
The Cannon Valley Senior Center would like to give a very special thanks to the Red Wing Shoe Foundation for their generous grant to make this trip a reality! We also thank Cannon Rivers Senior Living for their generosity in donating to this special event.
